My name is Michele Mount and I will be your child's first grade teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. This will be my fourth year teaching all in kindergarten and first grade in FISD. I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Michigan. In 2016, I graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor of arts degree in Elementary Education (K-5) with a focus in Language Arts (K-8). I also have a supplemental certification in English as a Second Language (ESL) and Gifted and Talented (GT). After college, I decided to move to Texas to be closer to my brother and also to get away from the cold. I have a very close, wonderful family. I have one brother, named Matthew, who teaches high school Economics in Cypress and he is also one of the swim coaches. My parents are both retired and have recently moved to Texas too. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, watch movies and read.
