Welcome to the FJH 8th Grade Girls Basketball Page

We will begin signing up for tryouts during the girl's Athletics Periods in late October. If they are out of school that day, please have them go see Coach Fritts to get signed up.

Tryouts are set for Oct 28th. 8th Grade tryouts will begin at 6:30am. Wear a shirt with your name written across the back. Please make sure your name is not obstructed by your hair. Click here for the the full tryout flyer that has been posted in the gyms for several weeks.

The parent meeting, if your kid makes the team, will be after tryouts in the Girls Gym.

Before Tryouts begin, announcements will be made in class to inform students of the dates and info. Any student wanting to try out for basketball MUST have a physical on file BEFORE they will be allowed to try out...NO EXCEPTIONS! UPLOAD ALL PHYSICALS INTO RANK 1.

Once the teams are selected, we will start practice each day as stated below. We will inform the girls of this each day after practice until they get into a routine. Of course, with tourneys throughout the year, we may adjust the practice schedule but we will always keep the team informed of any changes. No practice on Game Days.

2024-2025 Girls Basketball Shirts Order Form: Click Here. All the players need to put their name on the back of a Long Sleeve Performance Shirt. This will be our shooting/warm up shirt for the season.
