Gifted/Talented Programming in Friendswood ISD

What is SEARCH

SEARCH is a pull-out program for identified gifted and talented students in Grades K-5 in Friendswood ISD. Identified students are cluster grouped into classrooms where teachers who are trained to work with the Gifted & Talented (G/T) provide a differentiated curriculum for those students. The SEARCH pull-out program enables our G/T students to work in small groups with their peers on a variety of Independent Study Projects.

Together, the cluster groupings and the pull-out programming strive to provide opportunities for our G/T students to develop their unique talents and reach their potential.

If you are moving to Friendswood ISD and your child has been identified as G/T and participates in a program that services G/T please note this on your registration form. We will look at your child in the fall as we start school for possible identification and participation in our program.

All other nominations for G/T screening are due to your campus G/T Specialist by May 1st. Please submit your request in writing to your G/T Specialist by May 1st!
