You will be completing a state research project.

You have the choice of doing a poster, a Google Slides show, or a Google Slides Brochure.

This is due Friday, February 18. You must get your idea approved by Miss Wong first.

Think of some research questions you or others around you might want to know about your state.

Enduring Understandings (Questions we came up with):

  • What are the largest cities?
  • What is the state bird/plant/nickname/flower/etc.?
  • What is the population? Why do so many people want to live in this state?
  • What does it have to offer for tourists?
  • What language/accents do they have?
  • State abbreviation
  • What is the state known for?
  • How many square miles does it have?
  • When was the state founded?
  • What's the state capital?
  • Who are some famous people that live there/were born there?
  • Any voting information?
  • Special foods they're known for

Gather up your research and make sure you organize your information in a clear, concise way.

Tips:

  • Make sure to use correct grammar, capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Organize your information in a way that makes it easy to read.
  • Title slide, at least 4 slides, and then an ending slide (6 slides total).
  • If you are creating a slideshow, you may create your own Slides, then submit it through Canvas.
  • If you are creating a brochure, you need to MAKE COPY of ALL SLIDES of the template, then submit it through Canvas.
  • Miss Wong's Brochure Example (not finished)
